Districts
- Center
- The middle of the avenue near the market, the bus station and the town hall. Food shops, pharmacies and a school work all year, and minibuses to Batumi leave from here.
- Pichvnari
- The northern end, with a pine grove and a wide beach; beyond it lie the protected Ispani wetlands. Hotels and cafes in summer, silence in winter, and the market is several kilometers back.
- Behind the railway
- Houses with gardens east of the tracks. The station is on this side, trains are few, and you reach the center and the sea over level crossings.
Aghmashenebeli Avenue follows a pebble beach for about ten kilometers, and nearly the whole town sits between it and the sea or just behind it. The water is five minutes from anywhere. What differs is how far you are from the part of the avenue that stays open in winter.
Batumi is half an hour away by minibus, with the doctors, schools and offices that Kobuleti lacks. In exchange Kobuleti is cheaper and calmer, and from October to May half the avenue is behind shutters.
A beach within a walk adds to the parks category, and in Kobuleti almost every address earns that. So read the other lines: grocery, pharmacy, school and stop, in minutes. The town is flat, with no climbs, and very long. From Pichvnari to the market is close to an hour on foot.
